Inside Works
In a joint effort with the private Community Redevelopment Fund, LSE hired a job retention coach in September to monitor clients’ progress and solve employment problems while they’re small. The Fund’s $50,000 grant made possible the new position, which is a first for agencies in our region. The coach makes personal contacts with workers and their employers, sometimes solving problems and sometimes reinforcing relationships. The coach educates employers about the services available and checks that workers are building skills.
